I've been thinking about how I'd liked the technical side of our video to go. We had our tech rehearsal on Thursday and I think it went well but for me really highlighted how much tech, lighting and work is needed for us to pull it off.
I've watched a lot of boyband videos and from that I've noticed the sort of camera angles and techniques we need to be using in order to portray the pop boy band genre this will also reflect Carol Venallis as her theory uses:
- lots of close ups and extreme close ups
- style and framing should run through the video and should be obvious
- The camera should move in time with both the music and the lyrics
- Frequent master shots
- These shots show the band in a medium close up which I really like and want to use in our video. It shows the band individually and as a group.
- These shots are key to creating the right image technically we need lots of different close ups and extreme close ups of our band, their face, their body, their look.
- I really like this shot and I really think we can create this using the haze machine and the lighting in the Seward Studio this shot would be really interesting and would work well.
- We need lots of these different shots of the band individually. They are a new band and for our target audience they need to know each member individually and also as a group.
